”From digital to real” event in Italy

On April 9th 2016 the Digital Bridges project arranged an event ”From digital to real” in Prato, Italy focusing on the themes of 3D and gamification in education. The event was hosted by the comprehensive school Pier Cironi with more than 60 participants. The morning session was moderated by the Pier Cironi school headmaster Alessandro Giorni and it included a series of presentations given by the representatives of the school, regional educational bodies and experts of ICT and education. The Digital Bridges project was presented by Francesca Di Concetto of Melius. The afternoon session included three workshops of which one focused on the Digital Bridges project. Workshop ”Digital Bridges: safety education in the Tiny Oaks game” was moderated by Francesca Di Concetto, Valentina Mannelli, and Antonio Buffone, the Health and Safety Manager of the Pier Cironi School. During the workshop the risk assessment mini-game was presented and the participants were invited to spot the risks in the Tiny Oaks school. Each risk factor was analysed and evaluated, and Antonio Buffone provided detailed explanations for each risk factor based on the current rules and regulations on safety at school and in the workplace.
